Saturday In the Third Week of Lent

Do you sometimes wonder about the Sabbath. Some honor it at different times than others, we sometimes pass strange laws about what you can and cannot buy on the Sabbath (In Arkansas, for the longest time you couldn’t buy razor blades on Sunday). I also don’t know if other faiths such as Sufi’s, Muslims, or Buddhists even have a Sabbath. Its in the ten commandments, but does that mean I can’t curse during the Arkansas — Kentucky game tomorrow?

If I were to have a conversation with God on the subject, I suspect he would say, “Webb, spend a little time with me, and I don’t mean just a few minutes, what is the current phrase — ‘I need some quality time.’ Turn off the phone, the computer, and whatever distraction that they have recently come up with. Spend some time in my light.”
I think when God says keep your time with me holy, he is offering us a “dip in magic waters.” Now, who wouldn’t want to enjoy that once a week, especially if it means Arkansas beats Kentucky?
