Wake-up

On many an occasion, I will come down for a cup of coffee and before I pour Suzy will try to engage me in conversation. My usual response — “I haven’t woken up yet.”
How many times do I remind myself to wake up! Not just in the early morning, but during the day. In other words to be aware of who and what are controlling my life and emotions. The Sioux say that if another earthly thing or being is controlling our life than we are asleep.
Whatever or whoever seems to have power over you is intercepting the communication between your conscience and your brain. Whoever and whatever is causing your soul to be troubled, and is causing you to walk in a fog. I know this from experience.
Whether its a good cup of coffee or a strong dose of communication with God — wake up!
