Vision Of God’s Will

Every day is a day when we must carry the vision of God’s will into all our activities. — ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, p. 85
If only I could, and more importantly— would, begin each day thinking about God’s vision for my day, instead of my personal vision for my day. My day is usually filled with lists of things to do, bills to pay, e-mails to respond to, errands to run, another book to write, etc. Maybe, just maybe, God doesn’t see any of those being on the top of my “A” list. Maybe his vision includes visiting a friend in a nursing home, writing a note to someone who just lost her spouse, sending a book to someone who doesn’t have access to books, God’s list may be much longer than my own. Perhaps my morning’s meditation should be more about listening and less about my talking. You think?
