Still Of the Night

“In the Still Of the Night” — Great song by the way.
I have written a great deal about a morning’s meditation or prayer, but there is no reason to limit our time with God to the early morning.
Last night I sat out on my porch after it got dark and listened to the songs of the night — owls hooting, crickets chirping, frogs croaking, and the night birds singing. I had forgotten that the night is also full of life. Perhaps it was because I couldn’t see, that the sounds and smells of nature were more pronounced.
Try it tonight, and if you are not a fortunate as I to have a porch, all one has to do is close one’s eyes to experience the nighttime pleasure of oneness with God and nature.
