Light Shines Brightest

Luis suggests we strive in our faith for “where the light shines brightest.” The problem for most of us is the light vacillates from bright to dark, from full to dim, much like the phases of the moon.
True the moon/our faith is rarely full and totally bright, but it does have many phases, and there are lessons in them all. We often see the light shine brightest right after an eclipse in our faith.
Unlike the moon however, after our faith experiences darkness and we recover, the light gets stronger and our vision becomes clearer.
What is the phrase — “it is better to light a candle than curse the darkness.” Perhaps another way to put it is “don’t curse the darkness, because God’s light always follows.”
