Unconditional Love

My Thai Yoga instructor suggested we begin our meditation with imagining sitting across from someone who has only your best interest at heart, who loves you unconditionally, and cares for you and your well being.
Once you picture that person, look into his/her eyes and concentrate on what you see and on how you feel.
Try it sometime in the morning. I bet after a few minutes you start to feel the waves of love pouring out towards you, even though the waves are from an imaginary being.
When you finish this wonderful exercise, ask your self who is that person is in your life, and are you that person in someone else’s life.
The other thing I thought about was in those few moments was I getting a glimpse of God.
Try it and let me know what you think.
