Mindful Living

I got by way of e-mail a suggestion that I might have a better chance of losing weight if I engaged in mindful eating. Mindful eating encourages one to slow down and pay more attention to your food.
It got me thinking, that perhaps we could all do with a little mindful living — slowing down and paying more attention to one’s surroundings and world. Mindful living would help us focus on our senses and our heart on exploring, savoring, and tasting life to its fullest.
Mindful eating teaches one to pay attention to certain hunger cues; mindful living would teach one to follow certain cues too — there called our conscience.
I have a feeling if I practiced mindful living I just might live a better life, maybe I’d lose a little weight as well.
