Silence In The Face Of Injustice

I have always agreed with Luis that we should not be silent in the face of injustice. However, what is the right thing to do when injustice is heaped upon you?

The answer of course depends on the circumstances and who else is affected by the injustice and  what effect would a reaction have — would it give the perpetrator validity? Would one’s reaction bring the desired results? What is an appropriate result and response? The list is long.

Grandma Danny used to say. “Least said, soonest mended.” But can silence be interpreted as consent as Sir Thomas More once argued?

I think whatever the answer and appropriate reaction, all the questions have to be asked if not answered. What do you think?

  1. If you cannot lay down your speech for another, you probably won’t reach this level of love either:

John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
