Fear and Anxiety

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.  — Proverbs 27:1

Age and wisdom teach us all how true the words above are. Experience has certainly taught me to “knock on wood” whenever I say I am doing “just fine.”
But the words above shouldn’t make us unsteady or fearful. We definitely shouldn’t seek refuge in material things that bring us a false sense of security.
Our life should never be driven by fear or anxiety, Christ constantly reminded us. We are called to respond to each and every day by being “strong and courageous.” (Deut. 31:23).
