Change

Do you sometime wonder if God looks down on our feeble efforts to change, to improve, to forgive, etc. and just rolls his eyes and smiles.

I really don’t think our efforts surprise God; and as we stumble and get up again, as we fail, but promise to begin again on Monday, and as we strain to make progress only to have the rubber band of life snap us back into our bad habits, I think God smiles.
Important changes in our life happen slowly, poorly, and barely according to Anne Lamott. When they finally happen there is God raising his first in triumph.
