Little Things

Who hath despised the day of small things? Zech. 4:10

Love’s secret is to be always doing things for God, and not to mind because they are such very little things. F. W. Faber

Monday mornings I tend to be energized enough to do the small things on my list. Send emails, drop a note to a friend, line out my week, etc. But the above quotes remind me add to those ever growing lists of things I should be doing for God and my neighbors. When constant discipline in unnoticed ways and the spirit of unselfishness become the habit of our life, our lives blossom into true beauty. It is the result of care and love of little things. Faithfulness in the little details of life performed with a pure heart bear our souls to heaven here on earth.

Note from the Editor:  Next week we will begin a new series in this site’s “Letters To Tom.” Many have written in and asked if Tom is real? The answer is yes, but almost too good to be true. The series however is a literary device similar to walking the beach with a good friend and after a while you begin discussing things that you have on your mind. I hope the readers will take advantage of our next few weeks of beach walks to write in and comment on what is your mind. Also feel free to comment on the letters  to Tom with thoughts of your own. We might even if we are fortunate hear from the real Sufi Master himself, the real Tom. See you on the beach.
